Garden path as a harmonious connection in a garden with various heights
Designing a garden with different height levels can be challenging. But not for Designer Simon Orchard. Instead, he took advantage of the massive difference in height in this English garden to create several different areas, each with its own function. The stepped garden path, in the same style as the terraces, serves as the harmonious connection.
From the high terrace near the house, the garden path leads through to the lower sun terrace or further into the lawn to the playfully dug-in trampoline, which also has a terrace next to it. To create a cohesive whole, Enhanced Grain decking boards from Millboard were chosen for both the terraces and the garden path. Hardly distinguishable from real oak, these boards enjoy a modern and sleek look, helping them to fit in perfectly with a garden like this one. With its warm grey tones, the chosen colour of Smoked Oak nicely complements the Jura Beige Limestone, which was also used in this garden design.
Besides giving the garden a luxurious and sturdy look, Millboard decking boards were also chosen because of their great performance. The boards are durable and require little to no maintenance. Moreover, the material is already naturally slip-resistant and the unique top layer provides extra anti-slip protection. This allows the whole family to enjoy their new garden safely – even in wet weather – with the various areas providing opportunities for fun and relaxation. With the garden path serving as the harmonious connection.
