Beachy-bohemian terrace look and feel at seaside home

A large terrace for relaxing outdoors. Millboard Weathered Oak boards (Weathered Driftwood) were chosen.

A well thought-out, beautifully landscaped garden with a large terrace where it was possible to relax and dine outdoors. That was the wish of the owners of a seaside house in Somerset (UK).

GreenBird Gardening designed an entirely new outdoor plan, with a sophisticated planting scheme, subtle lighting and an expansive terrace. To achieve a beachy-bohemian look and feel, Millboard Weathered Oak in the Weathered Driftwood tint was chosen. Aesthetically, it exquisitely complements the rest of the garden design. Weathered Driftwood has the appearance of sea-washed timber with the distinctive weathered look of aged oak. The subtle hue and distinctive texture creates a relaxed, laid-back atmosphere.

Besides the beautiful appearance of the decking boards, Millboard was specifically chosen for its performance. Unlike wood, the boards will not warp, rot or discolour. They rank high in terms of anti-slip qualities and will never splinter. No special maintenance is required, and spilled food or drink can be easily wiped away without leaving any stains. Quite handy on a terrace designed for lots of wining and dining!
